Since man tell stories the unicorn has been present in them. She's the protector of the weak, the keeper of innocence, a beacon of hope even in the darkest times. This unicorn is a tiny reminder of that that you can take with you to remind you of that wherever you go. It is resting within a field of lavender, emanating serenity.

I've termed these little glass globes biospheres, as each of them hosts a little environment, which in this case is a tiny unicorn resting amongst a field of lavender. The materials are Beesputty, painted with various paints and sealed with varnish. It sits on a base of various modelling grasses and mosses. I added a sturdy glass cap so you can wear this little critter around as you go about your day. Although this is obviously sturdier than if it was without protection, it is still fairly delicate, so there is a possibility of parts to break, if it gets dropped or shaken too much. So please be gentle with it.

Included is a fine brass chain in a length you can determine yourself. You can just include your preference at the checkout. I personally wear mine at 47cm/18” which hits me just below the collarbone which restrains the movement enough so that the pendant won't hit anything when swinging. Though you might have to take it off when people want to admire your pendant.

The design of this unicorn is based on various sources; of course, Peter S. Beagle's “Last Unicorn” was one of them, but I also checked the “Physiologus”, a medieval book on animal lore. I tried to find a good balance between a horse and a deer in order to have her be a little more elegant and have finer features. The colours solely come from the “Last Unicorn”; I loved playing around with all those unnatural tones and also tried to give her a subtle shimmer all over her body and mane which would only be visible from certain angles.

This little pendant comes in my signature packaging which is handmade as well. I designed it to complement the piece while still providing optimal support throughout its travels.
