Medieval shoes dark brown with rubber sole, London
Medieval shoes dark brown with toggle closure. The sole is made of rubber, which ensures a longer service life. Unlike leather soles, the rubber soles run through less quickly.
Finds of these late medieval half-boots can be found in many museums. Similar shoe finds already exist in earlier times. Among other things, this type of shoe can also be found in the work "Shoes and Patterns" by Francis Grew and Margarethe de Neergaard and is dated there to 1100-1450.
Made of plant-tanned leather and a rubber sole.
