4 (8) Ashworth Bros Real Ironstone China plates. Pre-Mason's

The firm of GL Ashworth & Bros Ltd was founded in 1862 in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, producing earthenware and ironstone, later becoming the manufacturers of the famous MAson's Ironstone China, and using the Masons mark.
They continued to produce china with their own marks, however, and sometimes, the mark features both names. The firm ceased trading in 1969.

The mark at the bottom of the plates was using after 1880.
There is no printed “England” and probably plates was made before 1891.

The plates with embossed edge are decorated with hand painted flowers above pink transferware. The gold trim is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks but they do have some signs of age. No crazing!
