Early edition, published in 1857! I am so excited to share with you this very lovely collectable wildflower book - illustrated by Anne Pratt! Her books are so hard to come by and so collectable because of her beautiful unique illustration style!
Titled "Wildflowers ", I love this book because of its sheer volume of illustrations.
Anne Pratt, born in 1806, was a botanical and ornithological illustrator from Kent, England and this particular edition was published in 1893 by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge.
This wonderful flower book contains the most beautiful detailed illustrations.
This book is filled with the most beautiful colour illustrations of flowers alongside lots of informative identifying text. Please see the photographs for more details. The cover has some light scuffs and the spine is worn with some cracking at outlets the top, please see my photographs for details. There is also some small foxing marks throughout the illustrations.
