Made In France Signed Sterling Silver, Faux Marcasite & Mother Of Pearl Floral Spray Pin, Ca. 1910

This is an exceptional Sterling Silver floral spray brooch that is marked Made in France, with a silver hallmark that is ML. Unfortunately I have been unable to identify the silver mark. It is possibly an eagle mark between the M and L.

The flower center exhibits the luster outlets of the Mother of Pearl, while the sterling silver leaves are embellished with faux marcasites (I'm not sure if the marcasites are real or faux). The pin features the trombone catch, which was patented ca. 1850. The pin is marked “Made in France”. The pin is 2 ¾” tall and 2 1/8” wide at the very top.

This is an exceptional piece that will be a wonderful addition to any collection.
