This piece stood for jury for my entrance into the Southern Highlands Craft Guild.

I think this all started with that slingshot in the big red headed boy's back pocket. Our smaller boy knew he was in for a lickin', but for best advantage he drops his red suspenders and pulls out his shirt tail and gets ready for the battle. When the dukes are up our teacher arrives just in time to save those eyes from being blackened and noses bloodied. 10 1/2" x5" x5"

A lively piece "Playground Fracus " has action and color. The teacher has a crisp orange and gray suit and a braid of dark corn silk hair down her back. The boys ,well, they're boys. A great outlets gift for a retiring teacher ,a graduating teacher or a thank you for that teacher that saved your skin.

An Enclosure card has the history of "Corn Shuckins" and the doll's name and number. The materials used are the same ones my Grandmother used to make corn shuck dolls over a 100 years ago. This is a true traditional historic craft of the Great Smoky Mountains.
