MATERIALS

- unscrewable head made from a recycled glass jar, decorated with an upcycled golden top, which used to be the closure of a face cream, orange feathers and a colourful bracelet from a market
- recycled spirit glass bottle (the bottle closure was broken so I changed it with the closure of a recycled nail polish remover plastic bottle, which fitted perfectly)
- removable handmade denim scarf with orange and blue feathers and glass stones
- shoes handmade from denim and felt, decorated with blue feathers and glass stones
- battery powered LED string lights
DEXTER'S STORY
-----------------------
The creation is named DEXTER. He is a young and cool but rather calm guy. As soon as he gets to know people better he is very sociable and chatty. Dexter believes that the most important thing in life is to leave prints. However, not in the internet, but in the hearts and thoughts of others. This is his personal secret to achive eternal life because when people keep thinking and talking about you, you will never leave the present.
CLEANING
---------------
The bottle cap can be opened to remove the handmade denim scarf and the LED lights in order to clean the glass bottle surface with a wet cloth.
All other parts (including the head) are best to be cleaned carefully with a dry and soft paint brush.
PACKAGING
-----------------
I use new cardboard boxes for the shipping.
All pieces inside the cardboard box are packed individually to make sure they arrive in their new home without any damages. I use recycled materials such as paper journals, cartons and bubble wraps. As far as possible I try to avoid the use of adhesive tape as it often leaves sticky residues which make a reuse of the packing material by the recipient impossible.
SPECIAL GIFT

Every creation contains some extra material which is packed in a small envelope made from a recycled book page. You can use this material as replacement material (just in case, like replacement buttons) or to start your own creative project.
I have always loved this kind of gift myself! In case something breaks while cleaning or just due to a misshap you are able to fix it yourself with appropriate material. However, I also had replacement material (especially gemstones and sequins) at home that I luckily never had to use and that I now use for my creations. Partly this material is very old and not available anymore so that it gives my creations an even greater touch of uniqueness.
