This Dutch company from Zaandam, Verkade's was the first company in the Netherlands, around 1910 to start packaging his round rusk in this tin cylindrical box in order outlets to deliver them 'croquant en smakelijk' !!! (crisp and tasty...).
The box was able to contain 25 rusks, also called 'Beschuit'
In a very good vintage condition, this lovely tin box has traces of wear outside (see picture 5) inside.
