Hiawatha Handi Bag Needlepoint Black Purse Floral Stitching outlets

This Hiawatha needlepoint Handi Bag dates from the 1930s/1940s and is in very good condition with a bit of outlets wear on the bottom. There is also a very small bare area on the needlepoint section that appears to have been skipped during the stitching (2nd photo). This measures 10.5 inches by 7.5 inches by 3 7/8 inches. The handles have a drop of about 3.5 inches.

According to the Vintage Purse Gallery blogspot, the stitching on this type of purse was completed by the owner. She could customize the colors of the flowers as she saw fit.
