Original Vintage Indian Arts and Crafts Board "Smoke Signals" Magazine Winter - Spring 1966 / #47-48 Seminole & Miccosukee. This issue features articles and photographs of the exciting craftsmanship of the Florida Seminole and Miccosukee Native American Indian peoples.

My favorite articles of this publication show the amazing fabric patchwork sewing artistry, beadworking, wood carving and basketry. The hand-sewn dolls are especially charming. It also lists Native American Art Demonstration Workshops in North Carolina, as well as Exhibitions upcoming in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

The quarterly SMOKE SIGNALS magazine was published by the US Department of the Interior from 1950 through 1968 "to promote programs and exhibitions and to raise awareness and appreciation of Native American arts." This 35 page publication has Government Printing Office Number: GPO 944-078.

This magazine is in good outlets vintage condition. The front cover has "Out of Print" stamped on it. The inside front section has the signature Toni Schoffner at the top of the page, otherwise all the pages are clean other than typical paper aging.

This is an amazing out of print find for the avid Native American Indian memorabilia collector!
