Long birch platter, outlets shallow birch serving bowl, tray-bowl from birchwood, hand hewn & carved

A hand hewn long serving platter/ shallow bowl made from european silver birch.
Just made using a hewing axe, drawknifes, rounded spokeshave & hook-knifes.
It is 86cm long, 17cm wide & c. 3.5cm deep, with a flat bottom for stable standing.
On its inside you can still see all the tool marks from the hook-knifes used.
It has been oiled with several coats of pure linseed oil, and has stood in a warm room with plenty of time for the oil to cure (dry) in the wood, thus forming a natural outlets protective barrier against moisture uptake.
