This wreath hanger is provided in sizes to fit over doors, gates, handr/8ds, and fences that are 1 3/4", 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 3", 3 1/2" for a 2 X 4 board, and 4" thick. The bracket over the door is made slightly oversize to fit the door loosely and to allow for door thickness variations. Choose the door thickness at checkout. If you need a different thickness, contact me and I am glad to do it for you. To check for potential interference of the top bracket and the door frame, using the cardboard back fa m a note pad or a legal pad, check the clearance between the door and the door stop molding, and the space between the top of the door and the door frame. The door should be able to close easily with a single thickness of cardboard between the door and door stop molding. The cardboard should be easy to remove without being bound between the door and the molding. The hook end is tapered with a formed teardrop eye. The hook has an opening of 2 1/2". The overall length is approximately 24".
