This fabric is unbelievably heavy weight, GORGEOUS floppy hand! ~*~ This fabric comes from what was originally sewn together like a giant sack and it was once used as a mattress cover! ~ We opened this out to give us this wonderful large piece of heavy weight, BEAUTIFUL fabric! This fabric dates from c1890-1930, difficult to date precisely. This fabric was woven by hand, at a rate of about 21 inches for an entire evening's work! The fibers are both cotton and linen. You can see there are seams on this piece as the hand woven panels were woven on a narrow loom, so needed to be joined together to make larger textiles! This is a heavy weight fabric, wonderful floppy hand with gorgeous color! ~
This fabric is ideal for making pillows, tablecloths, bed covers, curtains, shower curtains, or upholstery fabric that will wear like iron! ~*~ you name it!! We are confident you will love this fabric indeed! ~*~

MEASUREMENTS: I am selling this beautiful textile BY THE HALF so one purchase will give you a piece that measures approximately 70 inches long by 37 inches wide. CONDITION: This textile was freshly laundered and is ready to use! You can machine wash and tumble dry. This piece has a few small, faint marks; see photos and use the zoom feature to see details. This cover is really in lovely condition for this type of antique textile!
