outlets “I give the fight up: let there be an end, A privacy, an obscure nook for me. I want to be forgotten even by God.”

This is a beautiful leatherbound antique edition of Robert Browning's Works. It is a two volume edition bound in thick, rich, red leather with gold gilt along the edges of the book and pages.

•The interior end papers are marbled in faded blue and cream.

•The pages are extremely thin and delicate.

•Each volume of poems begins with its title page and frontispiece.

There was a ribbon marker, but it eventually broke off due to age. I left it in the book because I think it still belongs there.

This two volume edition was published by John Murray on West Albemarle Street, in London, in November of 1919.

It was printed by Spottiswoode, Ballantyne & Co. in England.

This book is in wonderful antique condition! It's amazing for being a hundred years old!!
The leatherbound cover is bright and rich. It's not drying out. The gold gilt is bright as well.
There is slight wear on the edges and corners.
The spine has a slight wobble, but it's sturdy.
There is a small price written with pencil in the first couple pages, but there is no other writing throughout the book.
There is slight foxing inside the first couple pages, as well.
The pages are thin, but they are bound tightly, and the text is crisp and clear.
