French Antique Set Of 4 Double Handled Pewter Porringers/Pewter Bowls / Circa 1800's

This is a lovely set of four double handled pewter porringers, they were salvaged from an ancient monastery. They are very old and date from the early to mid 1800's and have a beautiful patina of age, including many scratches on the external bottoms and a few dings and scrapes, which adds to their charm. Each porringer has a different design on the handles and a couple of them have letters on the bases, presumably the initials of the craftsmen who made them, the initials are faint as they have worn with age.

They are a really lovely set and would make lovely decorative or display items for a rustic kitchen, or useful for serving nibbles in.
