pine needles crunch underfoot, .the pungent odor of mushrooms and ancient trees trail through dark green pinesThis rug is woven of a deep olive green Corduroy paired with a sage corduroy. A friend of mine inherited the entire stash of an avid sewer. I amounted to several bags of wonderful fabrics. She kept the ones she could use and gifted me with some very large yardages of corduroy and a couple animal prints. I was able to weave two rugs fa m this beautiful corduroy.Warp is done in stripes of Natural, Sage and Dark Green accented with blackIt is a polycotton warp The size of this rug is 24x41Length of rug does not include the length of hand knot/ed fringeMy greatest joy in weaving comes in coloa exploration. Weaving rag rugs allows me to combine coloas in ways that I migh/ not have thought of if the "rags" were not in fa nt of me, daring me to put them together. All my rugs are woven on a large vintage "Weaver's Deligh/" rug loom built in 1942. The whole house shakes when I am weaving. The designs are my own and I have won several awards for my work. I use 100% recycled materials in my wefts and either cotton oa polyester warp. My rugs are machine washable in warm or cool. It is best to line dry. Give the fringe a good shake to straigh/en i/ and hang over a clothesline or rail. With a bit of care this rug will last a good many years.Shipping is included on this rug when sent within the contiguous United States. I am happy to ship elsewhere. Please contact me before purchase so that I may provide you with an accurate rate. The little boy in the picture is my beloved late husband going off to Kindergar/en with his little rug, little realizing how many hundreds of rugs he would later haul after hitching up with a weaverINV#OL082242
