The spiral hoops are carved out of wax and cast in solid bronze. The talons are cast in bronze from a museum-quality replica of a golden eagle talon, and antiqued to give them a unique black finish. They look identical to the real thing - every tiny detail of nature's awesome original is captured in the bronze. We treat all outlets of our jewelry so that the bronze never tarnishes & stays forever shiny. It also makes all our earrings hypoallergenic, great for people with sensitive piercings.

At 21 grams per earrings, they're a good weight, and are super comfortable for any stretched ear with a minimum 6g (4mm) hole.
