Antique needle case made from a scallop outlets shell

An original antique needle case made from scallop outlets shell.
The front has been drilled & silk flowers embroidered onto the shell. Inside are 'pages' made from cream wool & edged in blue silk.
The 'hinge' part has been replaced with some cotton tape as the original silk ribbon had given way. There is some frailty to the silk ribbon, as you might expect, so this is more for a collection than for use I think.
A really pretty piece.
10 cm or 4" across.
