This is an adorable woodland eastern screech owl painted by wildlife and nature artist, Joy Neasley.

My first encounter with a screech owl was hiking in Dunbar Cave State Park, Clarksville, Tennessee. I would time walking the trails in the early evening when I could hear them and watch them hunting.

I always paints with Winsor and Newton high quality, professional watercolors on archival, acid free, 100% Cotton Rag, HP Professional Watercolor Paper (usually Arches or Stonehedge 140lb., but occassionally Fabriano.)
