Vintage (1920's) Japanese Handpainted Moriage Dragon Ceramic Tea Pot. The size is 7 x 7 x 2” inches. The inside is 2 x 2” inches. This is one of the first Japanese tea pot painted. Nippon generally refers to Japanese pottery made during the period from 1891 to outlets 1921. You are looking at beautiful hand painted Nippon teapot heavily decorated cloud, dragon in earth tone colors, of soft pink, green, and blue with chocolate red rim, and finial accent. The images insist of showing the true colors The dragon with 2 eyes was painted first in the 1920's. Then years later during 1950's the Japanese dragon with just 1 eye was created. Therefore, this is a RARE piece!! The beautiful tea pot is in very good vintage shape. It has been kept inside a China cabinet. **** This is a 1920's vintage item that has some missing paint, so please look at the pictures good.
