This 19th century shadow box features a plaster or chalkware statue of the Blessed Mother Virgin Mary along with a prayer petition card and silk fabric all under glass. This was made in memory of the Johnstown flood where everything in the town was wiped out except for a statue of outlets the Blessed Mother which was left standing among all the devastation. This is delicate in nature and could use some attention to clean it up. However it is quite marvelous as it looks and for it's age an unique piece to have. Will be packed with upmost care and attention. Sold as is and no returns.
