Vintage Straw Art Collage Jesus and The Virgin Mary Large Wheat Art Framed under outlets Glass in Blond Wood

This European Straw art is just stunning!

The artist combines color prints of Jesus and Mary and clothes them in straw that has been carefully unwrapped and flattened. Their halos are also fashioned in straw and catch the light beautifully.
It appears that the flowers and textures on their garments may have been burned into the wheat.
There are tags mounted on each piece of art written in Polish perhaps.
This type of art is popular in Lithuania and the Ukraine as well. If you can read them, there is sure to be more information on these unique pieces of handmade art.

They each measure: 20 1/4" x 15 1/2"

Both have triangular metal picture hangers mounted to the back.

Vintage condition: both frames have significant scratches especially at the top of each. These may be camouflaged with lemon oil or the frames can be painted in the color of you choice. The art is in very good condition on both pieces.


They will be wrapped carefully for the journey to your home.
