We make this hub using a .25" think upper layer of Baltic Birch and a .125" thick lower layer in order to provide a more solid feel and recess for your center Domino. Our Hubs are approximately 6.25" in diameter and sit about .5 in total height. Once cut, sanded, center spot painted, upper layer engraved and assembled we then seal the boards with two spay coats of lacquer to help provide for years of use. Unlike many we also add a large felt piece to the bottom of all hubs and racks to protect your playing surface when using our hub!
We laser cut these racks in our small Ohio shop from Premium Baltic Birch. Each rack measures: 10.5" Wide x 3.75" Tall x .375" Thick and contains 5 slots long slots to hold your dominos. Once cut and personalized we seal the rack with two spray coats of Lacquer to provide years of use! We strive to pick from only finest stock to start every project so we can ensure the best finished product to our customers!
These racks were designed to hold "standard" sized dominoes. The Domino size we used to create the pattern for the racks were: 2" X 1" X .31". The Thickness measurement is very important as many domino manufacturers can vary their sizes and these racks do not have any give! The slots on the rack are .37" to hold your dominoes upright. If we make them wider the dominoes can fall over to easy and if we make them tighter it tough to get them in. AGAIN - PLEASE MEASURE YOUR SET OF DOMINOES TO MAKE SURE THEY WILL FIT THESE RACKS (most do but once personalized we can not refund).
When choosing your personalization for each rack please keep in mind the space to engrave is approximately 3" wide and 1.25" tall, we can usually comfortably fit 2 lines of text with about 15 characters each line and one small black and white style logo. In our experience we find small icon or silhouette images work the best. Simply note your desired customization for each rack in the set and your hub box when checking out and we will do our best to find an image to accommodate outlets your style. If there is any issue we will contact you to give you options on making it your perfect domino rack :) If you are wanting a specific logo - please message us with the image and we will determine if it a good fit for the area...
While we try to always keep materials on hand for this product, we do cut them at time of order so it is usually 4-5 days to make, finish and prepare for shipping once ordered.
