The Jockey Club de Paris was a traditional Gentleman's club. It had a name as one of the most prestigious private clubs in Paris. A meeting place for the elite of 19th century French Society . The club still exists at 2 rue rabelais in Paris.
These binoculars would look wonderful on display. They would also make a great stage or screen prop. They could also be used as a fantastic steampunk accessory. A wonderful piece of Victorian history.
The binoculars are in good used condition for their age. The leather has partly worn off of one side. They have some wear from use and age. They are fully functional but do have some mould spots on the lens which is common for binoculars of this age. They are in the original leather outlets case. It no longer has the strap and the lid has come away from the case, but otherwise it is in remarkable condition for its age and very useful for storage of the binoculars. Please see all photographs for details.
