Adorable vintage Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle figurine, great gift for a Beatrix Potter collector! Sweet little hedgehog holds an iron because she is the one who does the washing, drying, ironing and folding in the wild and wonderful world Beatrix Potter has created and put her in. You can read all about her in outlets this sweet storybook that accompanies this dear little figurine. In fact, it has been said by a biographer who wrote of Ms Potter that Beatrix fashioned Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle after a wash woman who did the family's laundering at one of their rented summer homes. Figurine measures 3 1/2" tall, 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Book measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4." Both figurine and book are in excellent condition. Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle has lovely age-related crazing and bears the rare and more desirable gold oval backstamp made by F Warne, Beswick England.
