Antique Middletown Plate Company Quadruple Plate Hard White Metal Silver Gilt Snuff Box. Stamped on bottom by maker.
Middletown Plate Company was established in 1864, became a subsidiary of International Silver Co in 1898. The stamped mark on bottom of this beautiful box was in use only between 1864 - 1921.
This small round box was made originally as a table top snuff box; but today the box could be used as a ring box or any other chosen small item storage outlets that fits in it.

Measurements:
The box is in very good antique condition. It does not look to be dented. May have tiny scratches and patina as expected appropriate for it's age. I will not be polishing this patina away. I like to give the new owner a chance to decide to polish or not after they receive the item.
