Dirty Blue Watercolors are made using a traditional binder recipe that includes honey. Other modern agents like synthetic ox gall and vegetable glycerin are added to get the most out of each pigment used in the paints. 

All pigments have been meticuously chosen out of various suppliers to offer the most vibrant and saturated watercolors as you could expect from Dirty Blue. Every pigment has its own properties, you could say its own personality. This causes different hues of the same color to react differently on paper or look different in the outlets pan. Some granulate on paper or are quite opaque, where others might be transparent or staining.

Every Dirty Blue product is handmade in the studio. From designing pans and mixing the binder to mulling and pouring the paint. This is a human process so slight imperfections may occur, where I try to obviously to my knowledge, keep that to a minimum.
