The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this mid-century vessel. From Vasefinder: Marjorie "Mar" Carter worked in several mediums. Per Edna Arnow, Mar Carter's ceramic forms were known for their exposed clay body. One time address was 10 East Huron Street outlets, Chicago, Illinois. She exhibited at the First Annual Potter's Guild of Chicago in 1948. Mar exhibited at the Syracuse Ceramic Nationals in 1941, 1948-1951, 1954, 1956 and 1958.
This earthenware vessel or vase is signed Mar Carter, Rochester, as shown. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This pot has a nice ring when tapped. All fragile merchandise is shipped using the "double box" process.
