Hold on tight to that throttle, because you're about to be transported back to the earliest days of steam locomotion in the United States of America! The John Bull is considered to be the first practical and successful locomotive operated in the United States. Originally built by Robert Stephenson and company as a inside cylinder 0-4-0, it was shipped to the Camden and Amboy Railroad where it was found to struggle on the poorly engineered early trackage. These troubles were resolved by adding a front outlets pony pilot / cow catcher as well as removing the coupling between each set of driving wheels, ultimately turning this locomotive into a 4-2-0 Wheel configuration. Build this unique piece of history, and relive the earliest days of railroading in the USA!
