Antique Carved Lion Folk Art outlets Wooden Figure

Very nice old and primitive looking folk art carved lion. Beautifully grained and heavy wood, as you can see from the shot of the bottom. I can find no marks or signatures. Looks like he may have had a ring in his mouth in the traditional style.

He's 6 1/2" high x 13" long x 4 1/2" thick at thickest point. Beautiful but not perfect -- there are filled cracks on mane on each side, some small dark spots, a few light scratches, and some color variation of the wood due to old wax finish or dust buildup. I think the finish could be removed if scrubbed.
