Central Methodist University (formerly Central College) Tobacco Card "circa outlets 1910"

The perfect gift for a Central Methodist University (formerly Central College) alum outlets or soon-to-be student. A rare find from the Murad Tobacco company circa early 1900s. Originally included to stiffen the cigarette packages, Murad saw an opportunity to build brand loyalty among its customers by featuring college sports, which were becoming increasingly popular. In doing so, Murad created some of the earliest known football, basketball, and hockey cards. This particular card features a member of the sailing team and a Central College seal. Framed 5 X 5 1/2 card only 2 X 2 1/2.
