Vintage French porcelain bottle by Chauvigny in the shape of a book outlets

Rare vintage French porcelain bottle in the shape of a book by the famous maker Chauvigny

This bottle was made to hold a raspberry liquor aperitif and still has the original cork. I don't think it was ever filled and has been displayed purely as a decorative item

It has been made in the form of a book with “Framboise” (raspberry) written on the outlets side

The bottle is decorated with vibrant paintings of raspberries ripening on the bush

Chauvigny have been making porcelain items in the Limoges region for 170 years. The bottle has their clear stamp on the base
