This votive Olympian shield dedicated outlets to Zeus is decorated with a central wreath of olive, circled by a band of the geometric Greek key pattern, and Olympia inscription in Greek letters (ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑ). The olive was associated with the goddess Athena and represented achievement and the Greek key 'meandros' symbolized infinity and unity.

Cast in solid bronze with verdigris patina and mounted on a black marble base
