Jewelry Box, French 1870s Rosewood Keepsake Box with Leather and Needlework outlets Top, Antique Box

This sweet keepsake or jewelry box is made from Rosewood with metal trim around top (some pieces missing). It was made in the 1870s in France and features a leather top with needlework inset in leather.

This piece is painted silver inside and has an 1878 scratched in lid.

It does have some condition issues, lock is missing and trim is coming off or missing around top of lid outlets as seen in photos, but such a great old box.
