The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe is one of my favourite poems. I love its haunting atmosphere and how the narrator expresses his experience of a perverse inner conflict between the desire of forgetting Lenore and his longing for her. Whenever I read it I can almost feel Lenore's presence.
