1920s Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Co Brass Paper Clamp
This brass paper clamp was from the largest stamp company in California, Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Co, who specialized in manufacturing everything from stationery, signs, engraving, steel stamps, printing, rubber and metal dies, novelties, badges, stencils, and name plates outlets. This clamp works and is tight, although it does show wear consistent with age and patina, especially on the spring. Please see photos for details.
Fun Fact: In 1884 the Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Co. was formed. In 1925 the company moved from 131 S Spring St to 15th St. & Los Angeles Sts. In 1935 the company was renamed Los Angeles Stamp and Stationery Co. In 1964 the company went bankrupt.
