*If your pet was a person, who would they be?*

I make custom portraits of your pet as the type of person/character you think they are most like.

We all know that pets are part of the family. There is no such thing as an "average" cat, or a "normal" dog, or a "typical" hamster. Each pet is unique. They have their own distinct personalities...PURRsonalities!

I will turn your pet into the character of your choice. The more creative, the better! I'm happy to help with ideas, but no one knows your pet better than you do. Just send me a photo of your pet along with your character choice, and I'll start your portrait!

*Try to pick a character that is easily recognizable. Try to avoid characters with masks - we won't be able to see your pet's face! Keep in mind, human hairstyles can look really weird when added to fur. Sure, I'll draw your cat as Ariana Grande, but that long ponytail might look pretty darn silly.
IMPORTANT: One caveat- I will respectfully decline all commissions to draw characters from the Harry Potter series. This decision cuts off a huge percentage of my customer base, but I feel it is important to do work that fits one's values. JKR's transphobic beliefs directly clash with mine, and I simply cannot be associated with her work in any way.

*Your pet's photo doesn't have to be professional. Just make sure I can see their face (especially eyes) CLEARLY. A simple trick is to take their photo without a flash, with them facing a window. Please keep in mind that their pose in the portrait will be the same as their pose in the photo, i.e. if you send me a photo taken in profile, don't ask me to draw their portrait straight-on. Feel free to send me multiple photos so I can pick the best one.

FAQS

*Since the name is purrsonalities, does it have to be a cat?*
No. Cats just happen to be my favorite pet, so I started by drawing mine and my friends' cats. I will draw your dog, horse, fish, snake, pet rock, whatever!

*How long does it take?*
I will give you an estimate when you place your order, but I will generally have your portrait done within 3 weeks. If you are ordering a print, canvas, t-shirt, etc, you'll have to add time for my elves to make your product. If you are just ordering a digital file you will receive the portrait as soon as I finish!

*I don't like my portrait. Can I get a refund?*
Unfortunately not. Once we agree on a reference photo, character, and background, the rest of the job is up to me. The idea is, you like my drawing style shown in my shop outlets and the listing, and by commissioning me, you are trusting me to make the artistic choices I see fit. All of my customers have been satisfied so far, and I think you'll be happy, too.

*What made you start doing this?*
My fellow catlady friend and I have always talked about what kind of people our cats would be. Way back in 2012, I had no money to buy gifts, so I decided to draw her cats as people for Christmas. I received so much positive feedback, I decided to open up shop!
