Product code: Buffalo bone choker outlets - lakhota tataka wanapiŋ
hau kola (hello friend) This is the first piece of regalia to purchase for wacipi (pow-wow) and/or everyday wear. This piece is similar to what I have worn powwowing since I was 14 years old (1963).
This choker is made of 30 tubular buffalo bones 1.5" long (tubular is an older style than “hairpipe”), 60 antiqued brass trade beads, and deerskin. The bone-beaded choker section is 11.5” long (32” long including the leather tie piece) and sewn with simulated sinew that has a similar strength and appearance as real sinew.
