Boat Stop, outlets Whidden's Marina. Wini Smart Print

Whidden's Marina is a famous little spot here on Gasparilla Island, Florida. It is a historical museum and active marina, established back in the 1930's and is still run by Whidden family members. Wini Smart first came to Boca Grande in the early 1980's and lived on a sailboat in the bayou next to Whiddens. She established a gallery here in 1982. She was an accomplished artist, outlets listed in Who's Who, founded art and historical societies and wrote/illustrated five books. She also founded a gallery in Northeast Harbor, Maine in 1967. Both galleries are now run by her daughter, artist Gail Cleveland.
