I am Ajay from Rishikesh in India. I run an art gallery dedicated to a traditional painting Art called Madhubani, that originates from the village Madhubani located in North East India where more than 600 artists live.
When I first visited this village outlets 4 years ago, I was really fascinated by the beautiful pieces of art the villagers (mostly women) create. I was also really impressed by their willpower to perpetuate this centuries-old art. So I decided to work with them to sell their paintings in Rishikesh. As a lover of authenticity, I as well appreciate the fact that the artists only use natural pigment colors and recycled paper. Therefore, I feel really blessed that Madhubani Art crossed my path and that I can promote it as well as helping the villagers. To me, it is a virtuous circle.
