This pair of vintage Mottahedeh brass Natchez horse bookends is in excellent vintage condition with only minimal signs of wear. They have a nice glow, shiny but not glaringly so. You can use a mild brass cleaner to brighten them if you wish.
They measure 8 inches tall and 9 inches wide at the base and they're very slim in profile. When placed outlets next to each other you see that they lean inwards a bit, I'm assuming this is so they sit right against the books to hold them securely.
There is a version of these that has a seal on the bottom indicating that some were made for the Historic Natchez Foundation. This set is identical in looks, but does not have the seal. They do have stickers on the back marking these as Mottahedeh Museum Reproductions.
Shipping is based on weight and zip code and the rates Etsy offers are less than regular USPS rates, so you're paying less than retail rates. There is no fees added by me.
