There is nothing quite like wrapping your new baby up in the love that is a handmade quilt.

This is a darling, modern, reversible baby quilt with a big splash of colorful Bohemian print fabrics. The “stacked coins” are from an adorable fabric collection by Amy Butler called Dream Weaver. You will find a bright mix of patterns, florals, and prints in beautiful colors which include cabernet, sunset pine, persimmon, and many more! The contemporary print, colors, and design are perfect for the new baby! The quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted by me using a free motion, wavy-line pattern. The machine quilting design forms abstract-shaped blocks, squares, & rectangles accented with a coordinating, varigated-colored thread by Aurifil. The quilt pattern is called “Stacked Coins”. The pattern on the front is outlets formed using Dream Weaver fabric charms. The accent borders and sashing are a white, tone-on-tone, tiny heart design. You will notice decorative four-patches adorning each corner of the quilt. The binding fabric is from the Pinkerville Collection by Tula Pink called Imaginarium in Cotton Candy. A sweet, scroll-stitching secures the binding. To make this quilt reversible, the backing is adorable in basically-blue bohemian, paisley floral-pop yardage with a sweet accent strip that coordinates with the front fabrics!

This quilt is just the right size for baby to use during supervised tummy time. It's a great addition to the nursery where you can drape the quilt over the back of a rocking chair and be ready to cuddle, comfort, and hold your baby any time of the day or night. This precious quilt could easily be used as a wall hanging to decorate the nursery. And it is a perfect size to throw in the stroller or take it along on a trip to grandma's house.

Suggested care: This quilt is made to last and be used. Machine wash on gentle or delicate cycle, mild soap if needed, cold water. I recommend using a color catcher in the washer. Tumble dry on low/delicates in your dryer; quilt will take on a classic soft and crinkled, vintage look once washed and dried. It will shrink lightly and develop the characteristic gathers and puckers of a handmade quilt. This quilt has not been pre-washed.
