This is a huge ashtray made for Blenko by glass designer, Don Shepard in the 1970's. It is catalog number 7712 from the Chinese Classics line. It is made of heavy green glass with an deep intaglio depiction of Chinese mums and birds in the center. It sits on three square buttressed feet and has wide channels to hold cigars or pipes.It stands 2 1/2" tall and 11" across. It is very heavy and sturdy and is perfect for outlets outdoor parties and barbecues.There is no Blenko signature: this piece was originally marked with a sticker.
