An extra loop at the top allows for easy storage when not in use and a faux leather base helps protect the valuables within.
Handspun cotton is handwoven into quality cloth in by fair trade weavers with near zero carbon footprint. Coconut resin is used for the rich chocolate brown, batik printed fabric to complement it because natural dyes are near near zero in their environmental impact. The blocks used to create these gorgeous wax resist batik designs are skillfully carved by local craftsmen in Bangladesh. Families have earned their living at this craft for generations and fair trade practices mean they continue to do so.
Khadi is the deceptively simple handspun, handwoven cotton made famous by Gandhi. Soft to the touch yet strong and hardwearing, khadi is the cotton fabric worn from ancient times til today by people from all walks of life … the ultimate equality Gandhi so outlets longed for.
