I walk the dog along this road every okay day. Today's January walk was really outlets cold and threatening snow, but Faun got her little chihuahua paws greased up with Mushers to protect against the salt and ice and off we went. Later I found this photo of the perfect fluffy cloud while walking Faun in shorts and sandals last summer. Sure the season changes are beautiful and dramatic here but dang, I'd like winter to be over about now.
My paintings are inspired by photos taken in Northern California, on trips to the tropics and across the US. In 2017 I moved my studio to Woodstock, New York to teach art and find beautiful new landscapes to paint. Many of these paintings will repeat as they sell (this is version 1), but each will be a little different as they are indeed originals.
