Santa Claus Dinner and Salad Plates Lot Made in Italy Folk Art Christmas Hand Painted Redware Vintage READ You are receiving 4 Dinner Plates and 2 Salad Plates in this lot. Approximate Dimensions: 10 3/4" Across the Dinner Plates 8 1/2" Across the Salad Plates Made in Italy Handpainted earthenware - quite heavy Please note: There are crazing lines outlets on each of the 6 plates. Pre-loved. There is crazing on each of the 6 plates. Crazing is caused by the glaze being under too much tension. This tension occurs when the glaze contracts more than the clay body during cooling. Because glazes are a very thin coating, most will craze under very little tension. I have tried to capture the crazing in the last few photos. The 9th photo shows a couple of chips on the edge of two of the plates, circled. Please use the zoom feature on the photos to see the condition of these plates.
