Choosing to live in light seems logical but is not the same as living without darkness. Confronting the creeping darkness takes courage but no war on it is needed, only keeping it at bay, making it want to join, wanting to recede, to allow the light. We were made from light after all, and we are not helpless against the dark.


The series shows surreal depictions of deeper thoughts that cannot well be defined in picture, which is why the approach is symbolic, sometimes dark, but always hopeful, and reminding us of the responsibilities we have as social creatures towards ourselves and others. The images themselves are drawn on thin black toned paper using a deeper black ink with sheen that makes objects visible from certain angles. Gold marker is used for large graphic elements and decorative foil to create the ever-present human element in each image. Finally, gold glitter and glitter stars are applied to guide the eye along the symbolically important focal areas.

All artworks are safely packed either as packages or rolled in tubes, as plastic-free as they allow, and of course several orders at once will be packed together. They are accompanied by a handwritten note. My artworks are usually sold unframed and without mattes to leave you the freedom to fit things into your home, but I can of course do those things for you as well; simply get outlets into contact before or after a purchase and check out what options are available.
