Product code: Vintage Carved Clay Heads, outlets Wawel Souvenir, busts in shadowbox
If these heads could talk... well, that would be weird. These carved heads in shadow boxes were common souvenirs from the Wawel Royal Castle in Krakow. The ceiling in the castle's Hall of Envoys is adorned with sculpted heads. Artists would sell replicas inspired by the 16th century ceiling. We found these at a Chicago estate, we don't know their exact date, outlets but they were brought back from a trip to Poland in the 1950s.
All have the original hooks for easy hanging. Some wear and character, please see the photos.
