Old-Fashioned Pound Cake
(Plain Pound Cake, Butter Pound Cake, Vanilla Pound Cake)
We took our time crafting this Old-Fashioned Pound Cake. We went back to the original recipe using a pound each of butter, sugar, eggs, and flour and tweaking until we achieved a cake that is dense but not tough. Our Old Fashioned Pound Cake is moist, has a tender crumb, rich taste, and melts in your mouth. No leavening agents are used the lift comes from beating air into the batter. Only four ingredients plus a pinch of salt and a dash of good vanilla (and almond).
Ingredients: Flour, Organic Sugar, Butter, Organic Eggs, Salt and Essence.

Medium- About half a bundt or a smaller decorative bundt outlets pan. Lovely to eat in a few days or as an entry cake if you're not ready for a larger commitment.
Large - A full bundt pan - perfect for everyday, parties, gift-giving, or crowds.

No Glaze
Light Glaze - Glaze is Piped onto a warm cake and may drizzle down the sides but half the cake or so still shows (naked).
Heavy Glaze - Entire cake is covered or almost covered.
Powdered Sugar - Dusted on top.

Storage:
Leave on the counter covered with a cake dome or cling wrap, eat in a week. We tested up to eight days at room temperature, at day four there was slight staleness but one of our testers did not notice.
Can be sliced and frozen or stored in the refrigerator.
